Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working exclusively with a leading UK charity to recruit for their growing and forward thinking fundraising team.
We are looking for a Communications and Campaign Manager to join on a 3 year FTC (with potential to go perm).
This opportunity would be fantastic for a passionate and experience communications specialist to join the charity sector at a very exciting time. This charity is all about looking for "outside the box" fundraising and communications activity and are working to be a progressive fundraising team. You will have full autonomy over your work and will be making a difference every day.

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Contract: Full time, 3 year FTC with view to go perm - hybrid 2 days in office
Start date: August/September 2022
The role:
To lead on the charities communications strategy and deliver across the organisation.
Key requirements:
- Lead on all charity communications ensuring they are audience led
- Lead a communications team and offer advice and support and work in line with the Director of Communications and Fundraising
- Develop and implement campaigns for the charity
- Develop and implement communications and campaign activity
- Ensure all communications and campaigns activity are aligned with targets for the strategy
- Work with internal teams such as Digital Marketing to ensure all online campaigns and communications are successful
- Implement new and progressive ideas for campaigns and communications activity
- Increase brand awareness
- Create and develop content for printed publications
- Ensure you oversee copy including PR, feature articles, social media, web and marketing and campaigns collateral
- Ensure all content is kept up to date and reviewed on all platforms
- Challenge and education public misconceptions of the charity
- Create communications that illustrate the true impact of the charity
- Work with real people involved in the charities main cause to educate and fundraise for the cause
- Develop and implement PR plans on a regional and national level
- Through research ensure communications and campaigns plans are effective ways to encourage people to interact with the charity
- Work with fundraising team to develop new and progressive ways to communicate events and fundraising activities
- Report on performance of communications and campaign activity
- Uphold the charities ethos and values throughout all activity
Candidate criteria:
- Strong Marketing and Communications experience
- Previous experience of line management
- Good traditional marketing experience and knowledge
- Ability to work in line with internal teams and have a good understanding of digital marketing
- Experience of analysing campaign data, produce reports to manage future success
- Think progressively and creatively to develop forward thinking communications campaigns
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent content and copywriting skills
- Passion for the cause
