Commercial & Innovation Director | £90,000 - £110,000 | National role, hybrid

An exciting opportunity to lead significant transformation in an evolving Professional Services firm .

This is a newly created role and the successful individual will drive best practice across the business unit with a focus around improvement and change.

As Commercial and Innovation Director, you will play a leadership role in driving business performance, efficiency and profitability within the team working closely with the regional lead partners in each of our geographical regions and the national Unit Head to implement the strategic objectives of the team.

The role will be focused on identifying best practices (both internally across the team and externally in the sector) and then delivering necessary changes to working practices to embed best practice across the team, utilising technology to drive efficiency and improve ways of working for the benefit of our colleagues and our clients.

You will also be responsible for delivering the team's financial performance in accordance with the financial objectives set for the unit by the Strategic Board. This will include ensuring good financial practices are embedded across the team with a focus on achieving operational efficiencies and technological innovation to improve profit margin.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience at working in a similar role with senior stakeholders as a trusted adviser;
  • A high level of numeracy and be financially literate working closely with the ability to work with members of the finance team to drive enhanced financial performance and improvement in profit margin for the team;
  • A proven track record of delivering improvement and change;
  • A strong ability to build credible relationships at all levels of seniority with the ability to influence and lead a variety of people, some of which the candidate will not have direct line management responsibility for;
  • An ability to thrive where there are complex stakeholders to work with and where some of the team's work has shifting deadlines.

Salary & benefits:

  • Salary of £90,000 - £110,000 depending on experience.
