A CFO opportunity, based in the West Midlands, with responsibility for a significant regional division of a FTSE listed group. You will be part of the leadership team, driving their continued long-term growth agenda. There is a genuine opportunity to make a real difference, as they embark on a multi-year transformation journey and to progress into a Group CFO role.

There is significant value creation potential through divisional organic initiatives underway, including new product launches and expansion of existing channels to market and they are well placed to resume M&A activity.
Embedding sustainability in their strategy also remains a key area of focus and of high importance to the group.
This is a high-profile CFO opportunity in the West Midlands. This key role is a vital part of the divisional leadership team. It reports to the Divisional CEO and with a dotted line to the Group CFO. You will be the key right hand to the Divisional CEO to drive the continued growth of the business.
Whilst owning financial reporting, financial compliance, and risk reporting for the division, it has a far wider remit in terms of commercial and operational business partnering and constructive challenge. The role also owns IT management for the division and will soon have a key role in raising project management governance standards across the division.
Additionally, the division is embarking on a multi-year transformation journey to refresh its capabilities and tools. This will include both elements of operating model transformation and systems/ ERP implementation. Finance leadership experience and capability in a time of significant cultural and organisational change will be essential.
The successful individual will need a blend of skills that encompass strategy formulation, analysis, people management, communication, and hands on delivery. The versatility to switch between strategic overview and leadership to hands on delivery will be crucial.
This position will also be a key member of the Group Finance Leadership Team and will play a key role in helping shape finance development across the Group.
This CFO opportunity in the West Midlands, requires a well-rounded, commercially focused finance leader, with multi-role CFO experience in businesses of £100m turnover scale. Prior PLC experience and Group reporting is crucial as the role is a key interface with Head office in relation to business performance, forecasting and budgeting as well as wider financial considerations.
Prior experience of good business practice, gained in technology enabled organisations, with extended supply chains, (ideally including eastern suppliers), that sell to OEM, distribution and similar customers would be considered highly advantageous.
It is also important that you are comfortable leading change and have proven experience in a CFO role where significant transformation and improvement of business performance has been at the core of the role. Plus, a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on adding real value to a business. Ideally, this will include exposure to ERP implementation projects (preferably SAP).
Must also be commercially astute with an ability to support the Commercial Director on the development of sales and margin optimisation and investment decisions, as well as the Supply Chain Director on sourcing strategy development, procurement, and manufacturing investment decisions. Business partnering is essential.
A successful track record in establishing high performing finance teams will also be important, and prior M&A experience.
The role requires a strong relationship builder with personal credibility, and high impact communication and presentation skills, who can work at all levels and to influence wider business direction and decisions.
Flexibility to travel to different UK sites will be important.
