Are you a Procurement Professional looking to further their career with a growing organisation? Are you ambitious with a view to being in a senior procurement role in the future? If so please read on as this role could be perfect for you.
Based in Stoke on Trent, this Category Buyer role will focus on maximising the value of new and existing commercial contracts through the procurement of 3rd party contracts. You will take the lead in delivering end to end procurement including tendering, selection, negotiation and engaging with stakeholders. You will identify opportunities to make improvements and deliver value for money, carry out market analysis and attend supplier meetings. You will develop SLAs, negotiate improved prices and terms of business and review supplier performance.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a procurement role
- Experience of running tenders, negotiating and managing contracts
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ideally working towards or CIPS qualified
- Excellent time management skills
- Sourcing experience
