Are you an experienced Buyer with experience of IT Procurement? Have you worked within a regulated environment? How would you like to work for a global organisation, helping to strengthen their procurement department?
A leading Solihull based organisation, are recruiting a Category Buyer to focus on IT and other indirect categories. The successful Category Buyer will be joining an organisation who are focused on the development and progression of their people, offering you a supportive environment where your procurement career can flourish.
You will engage with stakeholders and build sourcing strategies, lead RFX processes, identify cost drivers and draft and review contracts. You will manage allocated category spend effectively and identify opportunities to develop strategies to leverage spend and implement improvements whilst reducing cost. You will produce required reports, ensure that all procurement activity is carried out in line with best practice and in a compliant manner.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- MCIPS or working towards
- Previous experience of IT and indirect procurement
- Thorough knowledge of the RFX process
- Ideally you will have experience of procuring within a regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Good understanding of contract law
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £30,000 to £40,000 dependent upon experience, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, along with a selection of other excellent benefits.
