Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading provider into the healthcare and custodial sectors who have a contract opportunity for a Buyer who has experience with electrical goods and components.

Industry background is flexible, however having direct procurement experience for raw materials is essential for this opportunity.

This will be an on-site role with free parking provided.

Job Description - Temporary Buyer

Previous experience of working within an mrp environment
Ideally will have 2-3 years experience of purchasing electronic and electro-mechanical components
Sourcing and procuring components in line with business requirements.
Negotiate best possible cost and payment terms.
Ensure raw materials are received on time and at the specified quality levels
Maintaining base data integrity on the company business system e.g. lead times, unit costs,

MOQs, UOMs, etc.

This role will report to the Purchasing Manager

Person Specification

Ideally CIPS qualified
Used to operating in a MRP/ERP environment
Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel (Spreadsheets)
Self-starter
