Job Specification
- Client Relationship Management for named Business Unit Clients
- Co-ordinating involvement of other service lines or specialists to meet specific client needs and taking the lead where required
- Brand enhancement and promotion (networking/PR, attending internal functions and industry seminars)
- New business and existing client development
- Formulating Business Unit business plan and budget
- Managing Business Unit revenues and direct costs
- Responsibility for long terms capacity planning and forecasting
- Accountable for service delivery on accounting/financial regulatory matters
- Accountable for ensuring all operational routines take place within accounting teams
- Active involvement, ownership and an advocate for strategic improvement projects
- Technical involvement within strategic improvement projects
- Accountable for ensuring appropriate Accounts resource is provided
- Co-ordinating shared resources with other Business Unit Leaders and our Spartan offices
- Monitoring the contribution and effectiveness of technical resources from other lines of service impacting the accounting work.
- Accountable for Business Unit billing and debt (emphasis on recovery and net investment)
- Undertaking fee reviews for Business Unit clients
- Responsible for most senior detailed review of all accounting output
- Managing the development of direct reports and accountable for other accounting staff

- Identifying client related risks and implement appropriate solutions
- Ensuring accurate and up to date process documentation exists and is disseminated
- Collaborating with other Business Unit Leaders to ensure, identify and implement best practice
- Ensuring processes are adhered to and carried out consistently across your teams with necessary mechanisms in place to identify non-conformity
- Implementing change to control risks
Skills Required
- You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong understanding of accounting and related areas and have in excess of 5 years post qualification experience
- Excellent technical and practical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply it in practical situations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across disciplines to positively influence people at all levels, and to develop staff through motivation and coaching
- Capable of managing a team with diverse experience and views and having the ability and confidence to challenge colleagues to improve performance
- Excellent client management skills, client service and results orientated
- Ability to identify and suggest procedural improvements
- Confidence to walk the floor and understand current state
