Gleeson Accountancy are delighted to be working in partnership with this Coventry based business to recruit a permanent Business Planning Finance Manager. This is a newly created role, reporting into the Senior Planning Manager. This department has accountability for overall business level planning activities including the co-ordination of forecasts, budgets and longer term operational & strategic business plans. The team will also take the lead on providing modelling expertise and key financial support to the company.
You will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the business, through co-ordination of the overall process and shaping the scope and content of the key themes which will underpin the Business Plan. In addition, the role will be responsible for providing valuable insights through modelling capability to support the various short, medium and long term business initiatives, thus enabling senior business stakeholders to make well informed tactical and strategic decisions.
This role has no direct reports, however, you will be managing and developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders and work effectively with various finance & business stakeholders across the organisation to co-ordinate, manage and support the compilation of robust forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
You will define and agree detailed project plans with key stakeholders and pro-actively engage with them to monitor progress to ensure key milestones and deadlines are met and expectations managed accordingly, highlighting and quantifying key risks, opportunities, sensitivities and key value levers.
As a fully qualified accountant, with prior exposure within financial planning and analysis, you will have strong stakeholder management skills to facilitate the co-ordination and ownership of the process. This will complement your range of advanced technical skills and best practice experience, specifically in the modelling of complex financial data.
