Gleeson Recruitment Group have partnered with a prestigious international law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager onto their established team.

This role will be split between supporting the international markets, predominantly Africa, and a practice group within Energy & Infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading firm that is known for its outstanding legal services and an excellent company culture.

Essential requirements of this role will include legal BD experience in either international markets, preferably Africa, OR experience within Energy & Infrastructure practice groups and experience in both a marketing & business development environment.

The role:

  • Work closely with PSL's to spearhead BD strategy
  • Implement the BD strategy, campaigns, and initiatives and ensure they are tailored for a global approach
  • Support fee earners & partners with 1:1 tailored advice
  • Work with partners to create business plans
  • Liaise closely with the Pitch team and provide relevant materials / information
  • Support the CRM programme
  • Identify areas of opportunity and growth for the firm
  • Support key stakeholders and other internal teams to manage the marketing plans of individual practice groups
  • Decide on the best content distribution channels for maximum ROI
  • Lead with partners to create events and seminars targeted towards the right audiences

The candidate:

  • Relevant degree or demonstrable industry experience
  • Both marketing and BD experience is essential to this role
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability for 'outside the box' thinking
  • Able to deliver high quality results within timeframes
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Able to analyse data effectively and identify opportunities
