Gleeson Recruitment have just been briefed on a fantastic opportunity to work with a rapidly growing business based in Stoke-On-Trent. We're searching for a confident & competent Business Analyst that can provide a high quality of work and cope with a large workload.

Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to ensure the design of our client's solutions satisfy the businesses needs and delivers the value described by the business case and to lead, motivate and develop a team of business analysts by setting and tracking against performance and providing coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritise requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Work alongside other members of the team, but also have the ability to work by yourself.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.
  • Identify and assist in prioritising opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Be an active partner within the business in a consultative leadership way.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
  • Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
  • To be a natural strategic thinker implementing best practice, improving business user experience, and adding value to the business.
  • Ability to self-manage and to be a thorough planner in regards to planning and managing stakeholders' expectations daily.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis.
  • Background in relevant industries, functions, and/or technologies is preferred.
