Gleeson Recruitment Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Bid Manager to join a dynamic professional services business in Birmingham, who are well-known for their excellent working culture and who are going through extreme growth at the moment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bid Manager to join an ever-growing business in a newly created role. You will be responsible for supporting internal stakeholders to help the organisation win profitable work through the sales and tender process.

You will be able to work out of the Birmingham office at least 2 days a week. We will consider speaking to people from other parts of the UK, as there is the potential to work out of one of the other regional offices.

This Bid Manager role will involve:

  • Responsibility for leading on bids and pitches across the whole business, on a national basis
  • Managing bid projects from start to finish, autonomously
  • You will build strong relationships with stakeholders across all the offices in the UK, whilst working closely with the Marketing team
  • You will project manage responses to formal tender opportunities, whilst ensuring all tenders are delivered on time and accurately
  • You will carry out market research on current and prospective clients
  • Draft, edit and proofread compelling content for the tender documents

The position requires a candidate with the following skills:

  • Significant commercial experience within a tender management role, preferably within a professional services or B2B environment
  • Proven experience of working on formal tenders
  • Experience of managing tender processes from start to finish, autonomously
  • In-depth experience of business development
  • Excellent and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage a number of projects at any one time
