Avionics Technician - Southall


£30,000-£37,500


Our client, a leading aerospace and defence company are looking for an avionics technician, who will repair and overhaul a wide range of aircraft Communications, Navigation, Radar, Radio Audio units, Recorders and Instruments to component level. This role requires working with technologies ranging from analogue electronics to complex microprocessor electronics and RF circuits.


Responsibilities

  • Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair including through hole and surface mounted components.
  • Complete fault finding, repair and testing process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment
  • Undertake work in accordance with the manufacture's component maintenance manual and regulatory approvals and the company's quality system.
  • Complete accurate and legible repair records and ensure they are filed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an agreed level of quality and cost effectiveness, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met.
  • Keep abreast of company working practices and procedures.
  • Undertake cross-training in other technical areas in line with the requirements of the business.
  • Understand and utilise the Quantum system to ensure effective delivery.

Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in the following Aircraft Engineering or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology
  • Experience working in EASA 145 maintenance organisation and understanding of the regulations.
  • Good understanding of aircraft component maintenance principles and system avionic
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the concepts and principles of quality, health & safety, and environmental management.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures; proven ability to communicate, lead and successfully deliver improvement initiatives
  • IS09001:2015/AS9100/AS9110 Experience.
  • Auditing internal/external.
