Assistant Financial Controller required for a fast-moving, multi-site, growing and very successful business based in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic all-round role which is highly visible in the company, covering both the management reporting and some financial accounts, with plenty of opportunity to progress and develop further.

The Assistant Financial Controller key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing production of the Management accounts day to day function.
  • Review of all UK Management Accounts, presentation and analysis.
  • Monthly Group pack reporting.
  • Monthly/ quarterly manager bonus provisions.
  • Monthly Group finance payments.
  • Quarterly VAT returns.
  • Control reconciliation reviews for the multiple entities.
  • Annual Audit support.
  • Annual Capital Allowance review.
  • Ad hoc project work.

The successful Assistant Financial Controller will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA, CIMA), with proven experience of timely management accounts production within a fast-moving corporate business. This is a highly visible role within the business therefore we seek someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, someone approachable, presentable, and a team player who can also work autonomously.

The role would suit an Accountant who enjoys a busy workload, managing multiple projects and responsibilities, whilst meeting deadlines; someone highly organised, timely and efficient.

Salary and Benefits for the Assistant Financial Controller are as follows:
