I'm delighted to be supporting our well-respected, award winning, reputable, multi-site, UK property client, to recruit an experienced Part Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA Accountant, to work closely with the wider UK finance team. This role is geared to candidates who are actively studying or nearing the end of their studies and keen to offer some recent financial accounting and management accounting experience, whilst learning new skills also.

You will be able to offer some recent UK finance experience and will be towards the end of your ACCA or CiMA studies (or recently Qualified ACCA/CIMA). This role will be reporting into the UK Finance Manager and you will be responsible for a variety of different operational and strategic accounting tasks, and my client can offer you long term career progression and stability,

As the Assistant Finance Manager, your role will be varied, and your main areas of responsibility will include:

  • Business Partnering with various Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, as well as Sales Directors and New Business Directors
  • Provide ownership of the balance sheet reviews
  • Identify and implement any process improvement areas required
  • Compilation of Tax schedules in preparation of Corporate Tax filing
  • Assist with the production of annual department budgets for the sales teams
  • Attending monthly and quarterly meetings with the Sales Directors and the wider finance teams
  • Support the preparation for successful annual audit & internal control reviews
  • Identify & implement process improvements as and when required
  • Deputising for the Finance Manager as and when required
  • Overseeing two members of the accounts team providing support to them when required
  • Ad-hoc project work

Key Skills required, as the Assistant Finance Manager:

  • Ideally you will be Part-Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Be able to offer Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V Look ups etc)
  • Process improvement mind-set, analytical and logical problem-solving
  • Focused and methodical approach to managing work
  • A great attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Clear communicator: written and verbal
  • Good team player
  • Relevant experience in a similar Accounting role
