Gleeson Recruitment Group are working with a global brand based in Wolverhampton, and assisting with their need to recruit a an assistant accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate can expect a salary between £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience. Initially this role will be accounting and reporting for salary, commissions and expenses relating to employees and sales agents. Responsible for delivering on-time, efficient and accurate monthly accounts. Support Compliance team in meeting audit and tax deadlines and HR in compensation-related initiatives.
Hybrid working is on offer with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 times per week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accounting
- Accurate and timely accounting for all costs, liabilities and assets associated with employees, sales agents and contractors
- Recording and reporting of expenditure relating to people-based activities such as meetings, Black Card event, Egencia travel costs
- Recharge to affiliates of employee-related costs
- Coordinate with HR to ensure payroll taxes are submitted and paid in full and on time
- Adherence to Local GAAP accounting requirements
- Preparation of timely Balance Sheet reconciliations for all relevant account codes in US and Local GAAP
- Assist Compliance team in providing accurate and timely information to support external audits and statutory filings
- Apply NCH Group accounting policy and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Create and maintain reference manual of differences between US and Local GAAP accounting treatment
- Support ad-hoc requests
- Month-end
- Continuous accounting to avoid bottlenecks during month-end close
- Support team members in completing month-end tasks
- Team-working and stakeholder satisfaction
- Collaborate internally and cross-functionally to resolve issues and establish efficient, standardised processes
- Work effectively and cost-efficiently with network of external advisors
- Work with external audit and tax teams as directed by the NCH Compliance team

Who are you?
- 2-3 years of Financial Accounting experience
- Strong systems skills in Excel and Oracle / SAP
