I am looking for an enthusiastic professional Area Sales Manager to cover the eastern side of our client's customer base from East Anglia, across to East Midlands and down to North London and Home Counties. Who, ideally comes from a manufacturing background and has experience in presenting and selling the company's product portfolio. This will be to both existing and prospecting potential customers within the construction industry leading with and specialising in, General Builders Merchants and Fencing Specialists.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the country's market leading manufacturers of building and structural products. The territory we are recruiting for on behalf of our client, is an established successful area and you will required to retain, develop, build and maintain long term profitable business partnerships with existing customers and potential new business. New business expansion is a key area of consideration, so a skill base that can be expanded and a mentality that embraces change is also important.
You will be directly responsible for the effective day-to-day management and sales development of branches within the defined territory, whilst maintaining a high level of service delivery. The Area Sales Manager will have responsibility for successfully identifying and implementing commercially viable opportunities, the building and developing of longstanding relationships and the execution of targeted sales strategies set by the company.
The role will report directly into the Regional Sales Manager, however the successful applicant will be required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in the commercial team, covering a wide range of product categories and collaborate on opportunities with the wider divisions of the organisation.
As the new Area Sales Manager, your experience will include full sales and customer relationship development skills. Ideally experience of selling building products but other sectors will be considered if you can demonstrate experience in a commercial, distribution or industrial environment. You will have capacity to manage your own workload whilst proactively sourcing new customers and logging all information to their fully integrated sales system. This is a regional role so you will need to be comfortable in a customer facing environment, communicating both internally and externally and working collaboratively within the external sales team.
