Gleeson Recruitment Group have just been briefed on a fantastic opportunity for a Applications Analyst to support a leading business based in Solihull. The Application Analyst will join a growing support team and will offer a clear career growth path.

This role will sit within the Application Services function which provides support across multiple business units, offering application services from project delivery, design & implementation through to operational support.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with cloud technology, Microsoft applications / Office 365, able to work in a fast agile environment, and able to support a range of operational applications.

Technologies include Azure, SQL, API, and automations, 'low/code no/code' applications, Microsoft stack and industry specific applications.

There will be a requirement for the team to provide support over core business hours from 0800 through to 1800. This will be achieved by a shift Rota.

The role will mainly be remote/home based, however travel to Head office will be required 2/3 times a month or as required - option to work from the office more frequently is available.

Main purpose & goals

  • To be a point of contact for the Application Services Team, by being available over core business hours - through shift work
  • To provide technical support and expertise to internal customers
  • To own escalated incidents through to resolution
  • To co-ordinate support with, and handle 3rd party vendors during Incident, Change & Request scenarios
  • To configure, test and maintain supported application services
  • To administer application access and request fulfilment
  • To provide guidance to internal and external customers across applications
  • To conduct root cause investigations and implement fixes and stability fully supporting the Change Management process
  • To pro-actively monitor core application services and initiate incident processes as required
  • To identify opportunities to improve the application services offering across the business
  • To complete application maintenance including software updates, backups, patches etc
  • To work with application projects and fulfil technical tasks on behalf of the Apps team
  • To create & maintain documentation across the Application Services Dept
  • To complete application changes in line Team principals
  • To conduct application testing and peer review of improvements made across the estate
