With a leading position in the industrial manufacturing and engineering sector and part of a truly international multi-site operation, this UK based manufacturer and distributor is in a sustained phase of growth and development in 2021 and beyond.
With a huge influx of RFQ demand and inquiries, the business now requires the appointment of an experienced Aftermarket Sales Manager to support this busy and growing part of the business from a commercial perspective. The role will involve implementing sales and marketing plans, growing and expanding our sales funnel, developing order winning strategies based on deliverable value to the customer, and closing deals that meet all business targets and objectives. The key deliverables around the role will be;
Growing profitable Aftermarket sales to achieve company sales targets and grow revenue and margin in line with the objective
Develop a deep understanding of end users needs and requirements so that we can sell more effectively
Work with New sales and Key Account Managers to lock in future revenues through long term service agreements and whole life aftermarket solutions
Capture all available revenue from our installed base, and extend our aftermarket offering to include ancillary items
Expand capabilities with GB group companies to grow 3rd party services & repairs
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting, trusted customer relationships to increase revenue for the company
Develop future business opportunities and identify emerging markets
Identify the winning strategy, develop value propositions, prepare & deliver bids to customers, effectively manage the sales process and negotiate & close deals
Negotiate contracts to maximise value and minimise risk, achieving the optimum commercial position
Accurately forecast current and future sales opportunities
Enhance the company's reputation and constantly explore opportunities to add value
Compiling reports on progress, goals, and forecasts and clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders
The Aftermarket Sales Manager will need to be a proven commercial individual with a strong understanding of the aftermarket sales process and channels to market. Knowledge of the Pump, Valve, Compressor or rotating equipment market would be highly advantageous for this role and a strong technical understanding to be able to interpret customer requirements and deliver a solution. You will need a demonstrated ability to develop and close sales orders and meeting sales targets and experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs will be essential.
