Our client based near Wolverhampton, an instantly recognisable brand and market leader, is looking to source an interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their ever expanding finance function. The role will involve effectively managing a large AP department, whilst also overseeing the roll out of a new system.

Key responsibilities:

*Strategically planning the daily activities for the whole AP team ranging from invoice receipting, to resolving queries and payment
*Planning forecasts and budgets of team as well as payment forecasts so that cash flow can be closely monitored and supported.
*Ensuring team establishes internal financial controls, demonstrating complete adherence of all compliance requirements
*Managing all work flows within the team's remit, fully engaging with the business and stakeholders to understand the business requirements.
*Effectively leading the team; establishing goals and objectives, managing employee performance, coaching, mentoring, celebrating good performance and managing poor performance in the best way.
*Driving continuous process improvements and optimisation within the team.
*Implementing and successfully supporting the new finance system launch and ensure it satisfies the requirements for an efficient AP function.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced AP Manager used to working in a high volume transaction processing role. Our client is looking for an individual with a demonstrable track record of identifying and delivering process improvements, and of coaching and supporting department members. They will be used to working in a large and diverse team, and have a track record in getting the most from employees with varying levels of ability. Ideally they will have worked across across transactional finance functions and be able to engage at all levels within the business, including senior stakeholders and senior management.
