My client, a global leader in providing logistics solutions within the distribution industry, are looking to recruit an Account Manager to oversee current accounts, grow their offering within commercial and SME markets but also with a view to gaining new business.
The successful Account Manager will be working for a global company who have been the market leader in their field for several years. The company has always followed a policy of expansion and substantial investment across the UK is planned over the next 12-18 months.
The Account Manager will be responsible for monitoring and developing account relationships within their client's distribution functions within their "patch". The role has a specific focus on growing the commercial and SME markets within South London (specifically SE postcodes)...
As the Account Manager, most of your time will be spent visiting some of your client's locations, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring all issues are addressed. You will be asked to provide relevant information and advice to assist in the formulation of commercial solutions.
As the successful Account Manager, you are likely to have significant experience in Key Account Management within 3PL or Carrier backgrounds, managing client expectations accordingly.
- Experience of Key Account Management within Logistics Solution selling;
- Client facing experience of selling goods and services to new clients;
- Supporting all members of the sales team;
- Experience within Oil & Gas sales would preferable but not essential
