Are you a recently qualified technical accountant looking for a challenging role to advance your career?

We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Senior Financial Accountant to join our Warwick based client on permanent basis. This position will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, ensuring balance sheet integrity, and enhancing financial processes within a global environment. We want to hear from qualified (ACA/ICAEW/ICAS/ACCA) accountants with a technical background working with large businesses, who are keen to develop into an industry role with lots of progression on offer. Salary is up to £52,000 + bonus and a hybrid working pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the accurate and timely submission of monthly profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet reports to our parent company using SAP BPC.
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including quarterly forecasts, annual submissions, and internal audit controls.
  • Manage essential month-end processes, including accruals, provisions, and data analysis, while offering insights to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of key ledger accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and collaborating with the finance team to enhance data quality.
  • Provide mentorship to team members, improving their balance sheet reconciliations and signing off where necessary.
  • Play a leading role in the transition to IFRS, handling journal calculations and taking ownership of new responsibilities as required.
  • Manage year-end audit processes, ensuring all group reporting and statutory deadlines are met.
  • Engage in departmental initiatives, suggesting improvements to existing processes and participating in special projects that address specific business needs.

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Strong background in financial accounting with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with solid experience in decision-making and working with computerised financial systems.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels within the organisation and with external auditors.
  • Demonstrable commitment to high-quality work and maintaining accuracy across financial activities.
