HR Advisor | Charitable Organsiation | Part Time - 28 hours a week | circa £27K take home salary + 12% employer pension scheme | Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid)

A well known, not for profit organisation based in Birmingham City Centre are seeking a values led and employee focused HR Advisor to join them on a part time basis, working 28 hours a week on an initial 18 months FTC basis. Working 2 days in the office as a minimum, the successful HR Advisor will have a proven track record of working within a close knit HR team and providing full generalist support and ER case management support to various key stakeholders. Due to the nature of this role being an FTC, the successful candidate must ideally be available to start in January 2026 and be happy to work 28 hours a week.

Please note the take home salary for the 28 hours a week is circa £26,700 per annum.

Day to day duties may include:

  • Be a key point of contact for HR queries
  • Manage the HR employee lifecycle
  • Arrange recruitment activity from advertising posts, through to interview, offer and induction, including administrative and practical arrangements
  • Liaison with Payroll regarding changes
  • Provide line managers with advice, guidance and training on all aspects of people matters
  • Ensure that all employees have the necessary resources to undertake their roles
  • Ensure the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of employees
  • Work with the HR Manager and HR Director in formulating and implementing people strategy

The successful HR Advisor will have a solid Advisory background, ideally from within a mixture of the third/public sector and the corporate sector and be used to managing their own ER case load. You must be comfortable working autonomously in a a close knit team, be proactive and have a strong initiative. A genuine care for people and passion for supporting them is key for this role.
