My client requires an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic and growing business services provider. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and transactional operations, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
- Oversee revenue recognition, consolidated accounts, and technical accounting papers.
- Provide strategic leadership across transactional finance teams (billing, credit control, cashiering, accounts).
- Drive process efficiency, strengthen control frameworks, and deliver commercial insights.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations.
- Oversee tax compliance (corporation tax, VAT, employment taxes) and external audit processes.
- Champion digital transformation and system improvements within finance.
About You
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
- 8-12 years in senior financial accounting roles, ideally within business services.
- Track record working for private equity backed businesses
- Experience in building a scalable finance function.
- Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and risk management.
- Advanced Excel and ERP/practice management systems proficiency.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse finance teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
