Financial Accountant / Divisional Accountant
£40,000 - £45,000 + regular bonus of up to 12% per year
Wokingham based (outskirts) - full time, 5 days per week in the office

Our client has seen an increased demand over the years for its wide range of products and are now seeking an experienced, hands on Financial Accountant / Divisional Accountant as the company seek to double in size this year. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working within the heart of the finance team of 8 (and set to grow more this year), we require a hands-on, collaborative Financial Accountant role, ideally with recent experience of being in a similar role in a busy and fast paced environment, who can demonstrate excellent financial accounting skills, as well as some exposure to forecasting and budgeting, balance sheet recs, and cash-flow management.
Your role as a Financial Accountant / Divisional Accountant will be varied and will include:
- Manage all data imported into the Group's financial system Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring accuracy and integrity and liaising with the Data Analyst daily
- Regularly reconcile all customer accounts across revenue streams, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Raising of sales invoices
- Supplier Reconciliations: Coordinate supplier accounts, maintaining meticulous records and production of self-billing invoices.
- Cash Flow Management: calculations for weekly payment run, weekly receipts / payments cashflow forecasting and analysis of data for cash flow reporting within the Energy Services Division against forecast and Budget.
- End-of-Month Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, working closely with the Group Management Accountant.
- Profit and Loss Statement Production: Prepare profit and loss statements tailored to the Energy Services Division to assess financial performance against Budgets and Forecasts, and support decision-making ready for review and reporting to the central finance team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Produce Budget & Forecasts in line with Group reporting requirements.
- Liaising with the Finance Manger, to oversee overhead allocations for the division
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing financial performance and operational efficiency across the organisation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key trends and recommendations for informed decision-making.
- Strategic Planning Support: Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to inform strategic planning initiatives and optimise resource allocation.
- Business Unit Liaison: Serve as a liaison between finance and business units, ensuring alignment of financial strategies with overall business objectives and priorities
As the Financial Accountant / Divisional Accountant, you will be able to offer:
- Part Qualified, or Qualified by experience or actively studying
- Be able to offer recent, similar experience, probably gained working from within an SME organisation, but applications from candidates from the corporate background will also be considered
- Be able to multi-task with ease
