Through organic growth they have built a strong team and pride themselves on their exceptional client services. They are now seeking a dedicated Client Accountant to join their accounts team. This role comes with an annual salary of up to £35,000.00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing income and expenditure and creating annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Preparing personal, trust, and estate tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial and tax affairs, providing guidance, and answering any queries promptly.
- Preparing detailed and accurate financial reports for clients.
- Completing Capital Gains Tax computations and handling 60-day returns for property disposals.
- Assisting with client and internal compliance work to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintaining up-to-date client records and databases to support seamless client management.
Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum two years' experience in accounts assistant or similar role, a background in accountancy practice or legal is desirable.
- Previous experience in personal tax return production and submission is essential.
- AAT qualified or studying toward completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and meet deadlines, while also being an effective team player.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in IT, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting software.
- As the role involves regular client contact, strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach are essential.
