A Marketing Manager acknowledges and adopts the importance of a company’s ethos/values and ensures that their message is communicated consistently and effectively across all communication channels. They will work inhouse - either alone or as part of a team - and be expected to lead and oversee corporate identity, brand management, and any activities or events taking place within the marketing department.

Marketing Managers will have a holistic understanding of their sector - they will have cultivated demonstrable knowledge and experience across a wide range of marketing, digital and offline platforms. Marketing Managers will be expected to create content, pitches and marketing strategies. Responsibilities of a Marketing Manager is likely to include some of the following; managing a team, reporting ROI, managing the company’s online and offline activity, ensuring the branding is consistent across all communication channels,   and the management of social media.

The ideal candidate will have either a BA in Marketing, a CIM qualification or the equivalent industry experience. Previous job titles may have included marketing assistant, marketing executive, marketing coordinator or local marketing manager. They will have strong linguistic and presentation skills, contagious, positive energy – able to both manage and motivate a team – and confidence in their own analytical and project management skills.
